By Air: The closest airport to Hunza is that of Gilgit – about 2.5 hours’ drive from the lodge. There are daily flights to Gilgit from Islamabad.
You can also fly into Skardu airport from where the drive time is about 6 hours to the hotel. There are daily flights to Skardu from Islamabad. During the season, a few flights per week also operate from Karachi. In the past, there were flights from Lahore but since 2022 the flights have not operated. Please check for flight details with PIA and Air Blue.
By Road: Gulmit is about 14 hours’ drive by road from Islamabad. During summers, normally between May to October, you can travel through Naran. It’s a beautiful road trip and can be done in a day or several days as there is much to see and enjoy on the way. This road goes over Babusar top (13,700 ft.) which is snowbound from November to May and during this period one has to take the Karakoram Highway, which is an all-weather road.
Check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is 12pm. Check in before 2pm and check out after 12pm will be allowed subject to room availability and charged at half rate.
No cancellation charges 14 days prior to travel dates.
Cancellation within 14 days of check-in date subject to 1 night charge. Room not occupied by 10pm will be marked as no-show which will be subject to 1 night charge; unless prior arrangements have been made.
In case of flight cancellation or road blockage (proof required), Credit Note of 80% value issued with validity during the remaining calendar year.

All food is freshly prepared. Please order 1 hour to 1 ½ hour in advance. For fish /mutton-based dishes, we need a day’s notice as purchases for these items require a 70 km run.
Complementary breakfast timing is from 7am – 10am. Last order of the day is taken at 10.30pm.
Be sure to check the weather forecast before you travel and pack accordingly. Gulmit is at an altitude of roughly 8,500 feet and can get quite windy and even in the summer you may need a light jacket for the evenings.
Gulmit has a basic health centre. If you are on medication, it's advisable to bring these along. We recommend you carry bandages for cuts and bruises, medicines for motion & altitude sickness (if susceptible) and for upset stomach and nausea.
